About Shure A300SM
The Shure A300SM shock mount accessory is designed to provide superior isolation while securely connecting to Shure KSM353 ribbon microphones. Designing the A300SM wasn't easy - the KSM353 weighs 1.5 lb and lacks a secure attachment point. The A300SM's designers also had to achieve the right tension and for the allowable movement to perpendicular with the movement of the ribbon. They came up with a design that uses wire rope instead of traditional elastic bands or rubber O-rings. The A300SM also features a ShureLock thread design.
