CANFORD AES AUDIO JACKFIELDS - 75 ohm, MUSA Two, three and four-row MUSA panels, offering a 75ohm coaxial patching solution for unbalanced AES audio. Available with 20, 24 or 26 connectors per row in 1U panels and 20 or 24 connectors per row in 2U and 3U panels. Rear connection is via 75ohm BNC sockets. Note that the connectors are straight-through, non-normalled, and require U-links or patchcords. The panels are identical to the Canford MUSA HD 3Gb/s 1080p Video Patch Panel series which meet the requirements of SMPTE424M so transmission and return loss performance far exceeds that required for AES audio format signals. The simplicity of the one-piece contacts in both panel connectors and U-links, and the non-normalled, U-link concept, means there are no complex moving parts, or switch contacts, offering excellent reliability even when subjected to vibration in use or in transit. The body parts are nickel-plated and centre contacts are gold plated giving a smooth mating action and overcoming the 'sticktion' and tarnishing of the now obsolete silver MUSA. Solid interface insulators prevent dust ingress meaning dust caps on unmated ports are unnecessary. Panels are manufactured from a rigid aluminium extrusion and are fitted with two lacing-bars and two 5mm (1U panels) or 7.5mm (2U and 3U panels) snap-on designation strips for which AutoCAD templates are available from the Tech Zone at www.canford.co.uk or from Technical Support. Depth behind panel, including lacing-bar, 180mm. Finished in Dawn Grey (BS4800-10A03) or Black as standard, other colours and connector layouts are available to special order but may be subject to an MOQ.
